Anne-Lise Bure met Emissaries of Divine Light in South Africa in 1979, finding a special resonance that met her own urge to know a greater purpose that could best be served with like-spirited others in the context of conscious spiritual community. She has been associated with the Emissaries ever since.
Born in East Africa, she grew up to become an ardent social activist, visionary and adult educator. She became the chief executive director of the Novalis Ubuntu Institute in 2009, and has gained over 30 years’ experience as an advocate for healthy social transformation of civil society.
Anne-Lise’s pioneering spirit has drawn on great courage and tenacity in her determination to fulfill her vision for creating a regenerative culture of Ubuntu with a strong focus in education and human development. Her passion is to open new gateways for building healthy social communities through a quality of education that calls forth, nurtures and grows the unique gifts inherent in every person.
In October 2020, she was elected to serve as a Trustee of Emissaries of Divine Light.
