During Lent, let us find concrete ways to overcome our indifference. Lent comes providentially to awaken us, to shake us from our lethargy.~ Pope Francis
I write this on Ash Wednesday, a day that Christians recognize as the first day of Lent. The Lenten Season lasts 40 days (excluding Sundays) from Ash Wednesday, leading up to Easter Sunday. During the Lenten Season, the focus is to give up something to commemorate the sacrifices that Jesus made.
I view Lent as the time to sacrifice anything that keeps me imprisoned by the illusion of separation. This Lent, I’m prepared to sacrifice all doubt, guilt, judgment, anger, and unforgiveness on the altar of Truth, so that my heart is open to the Love that knows no separation.
This is a time we are all being healed of the separation disorder we inherited—that deeply ingrained perception that we are separate from the Source of our being and each other. How might we experience life on planet Earth if each of us were to sacrifice anything that interferes with our being attuned with and tapped into the quantum field of Love?
Just as the light of the sun nurtures life on this planet, so does shining our light welcome others to shine theirs too. Then, together, we are shining that frequency of healing, liberating light. Together, attuned to our Source and living from our true state of Being, we are radiating that light that dissolves the illusion of a world of separation, suffering and pain.
Sounds like heaven to me!
Will you join me in making a decision for heaven today?
We, the authors of this blog, dedicate it to the transparent exploration of the world’s sacred scripture and enlightened spiritual thought. We believe that the original inspiration of all faiths comes from a common source, named and revered in a myriad of ways. With that understanding, the innumerable symbols, beliefs, and practices of faith cease to divide. They become open windows to a common reality that inspires and unifies us. We find deeper insight and nourishment in our own faith and from the expression of faith from others.
We hope these weekly quotations and meditations speak to your heart and soul.
