This Week's Quotation:
"More and more people are awakening to a simple but revolutionary truth: we are not separate. We are deeply and intrinsically connected to one another, to the Earth, to all of life."~Steve Farrell (Humanity’s Team)
We Are One

Jerry Kvasnicka, Wired for Love
Oneness is the reality. We are all connected to each other, to the Earth, to Nature, to the Universal Whole. When I touch a tree, I am touching a part of myself. When I observe a deer in my yard, I can know that I am experiencing something of myself. When I watch a bird fly, a part of me is flying with it. Creation is one majestic whole that unites us all. Separation is an illusion.
Of course, this also means that I am linked to every other human being on Earth. A cattle rancher in Argentina, a restaurant owner in Japan, a schoolteacher in Kenya, the President of Syria, they are all part of me. And, obviously, if there is conflict and suffering anywhere on Earth, a part of me is affected.
This has implications for our spiritual service. For, how are we connected? It is through the medium of consciousness. A wise mentor of mine observed that what is present in the outer world is merely a reflection of what is present in human consciousness. So clearly, if we wish to change what is happening in the external state, perhaps doing something about the conflict and suffering we see there, we begin with our own consciousness.
Consciousness is the key. We serve humanity by simply letting the Ordering Power of Love flow into our thoughts, words and actions. This puts it into our consciousness and also into the mass consciousness of the body of humanity, touching everyone on the planet at some level with that Love. How convenient! We don’t have to travel anywhere or do anything other than simply bring the Truth of Love into our living right where we are. So let us let Love flow!
About Open Windows
We, the authors of this blog, dedicate it to the transparent exploration of the world's sacred scripture and enlightened spiritual thought. We believe that the original inspiration of all faiths comes from a common source, named and revered in a myriad of ways. With that understanding, the innumerable symbols, beliefs, and practices of faith cease to divide. They become open windows to a common reality that inspires and unifies us. We find deeper insight and nourishment in our own faith and from the expression of faith from others.
We hope these weekly quotations and meditations speak to your heart and soul.
