This Week's Quotation:
In God we live and move and have our being. It is God who gives life to all, who gives power and being to all that exists. Consider that you are in God, surrounded and encompassed by God, swimming in God.
~ Mother Teresa
Swimming in God

Jerry Kvasnicka, Shining the Light
With these words, Mother Teresa beautifully acknowledges the fundamental truth that we are all, in essence, God Beings incarnate on earth, presumably here to serve the One in whom we live and move and have our being.
So obviously, there is no need to search for God, as many human beings seem to spend their lives doing, perhaps utilizing religious beliefs and practices, or hoping to experience God in a sacred setting such as a church, cathedral, temple, sanctuary, or just a sublime clearing in a verdant forest.
A beautiful setting in nature may intensify our experience of God, perhaps engendering a mystical experience, but we were already surrounded and encompassed by God before we entered the setting. And we don’t stop swimming in God when we experience the pressures of life brought by difficult and challenging circumstances.
Difficulties and problems of all kinds can be wonderful learning experiences that we can actually be thankful for. And they can be great opportunities to radiate blessings to everyone experiencing similar stress, reminding them that no matter how high the waters rise, we are still swimming in God and are guaranteed buoyancy by the ordering power of Love flowing from our core.
And if our minds and hearts need further proof that we are swimming in God, just give them ample opportunity to express the qualities of God in all that we think, say, and do. Act as God would act in every circumstance, and they will get the message!
About Open Windows
We, the authors of this blog, dedicate it to the transparent exploration of the world's sacred scripture and enlightened spiritual thought. We believe that the original inspiration of all faiths comes from a common source, named and revered in a myriad of ways. With that understanding, the innumerable symbols, beliefs, and practices of faith cease to divide. They become open windows to a common reality that inspires and unifies us. We find deeper insight and nourishment in our own faith and from the expression of faith from others.
We hope these weekly quotations and meditations speak to your heart and soul.
Great to be swimming in God with you, Jerry, and with Mother Teresa. Love, Tom
So beautiful Jerry – thank you and Blessings
