This Week's Quotation:
The “second coming” of Christ is a transformation of human consciousness, a shift from time to presence, from thinking to pure consciousness, not the arrival of some man or woman.
~ Eckhart Tolle
I Am Come

Jerry Kvasnicka, Shining the Light
I think Eckhart has it exactly right. Are we waiting around for some messianic figure to come floating down from the sky to rescue humanity? This kind of cosmic bailout is just not going to happen, no matter how fervently millions of human beings still believe it is going to happen.
Why do so many still insist on some kind of celestial intervention to save the world? I think because it lets us off the hook; we no longer need to assume personal responsibility for our world. All we have to do is wait around for some God up there somewhere to reach down and do the work.
To me, it is becoming obvious that if this waiting game continues much longer it will ensure the demise of humanity. Everything I think and feel these days is telling me it’s imperative for me, for us, to act. As representatives of the Creator, the state of the world is in our hands. We are authorized to take command and accelerate the transformation of human consciousness that Tolle refers to.
The way we do this is actually pretty simple—just shifting our identity into the truth of who we are, thereby welcoming and expressing the flow of Love proceeding from that Center. Then our presence becomes Presence and ordinary human thinking evolves into Pure Consciousness.
Perhaps the magnificent Lord of Love that incarnated in the form of Jesus is waiting for each one of us to say: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10).
About Open Windows
We, the authors of this blog, dedicate it to the transparent exploration of the world's sacred scripture and enlightened spiritual thought. We believe that the original inspiration of all faiths comes from a common source, named and revered in a myriad of ways. With that understanding, the innumerable symbols, beliefs, and practices of faith cease to divide. They become open windows to a common reality that inspires and unifies us. We find deeper insight and nourishment in our own faith and from the expression of faith from others.
We hope these weekly quotations and meditations speak to your heart and soul.
Right on brother Jerry! You nailed it…
love you man,

Well said, Jerry. If we share Jesus’s purpose without compromise nor turning back, we are all part of “the Messiah” without being arrogant. If not now, when? If not me, who? Well expressed, Jerry, and you also win the “best relationship with a flower award (see photo).” Love to all, Tom C.
You and Eckhart (along with many others) seem to have it exactly right. Thank you for your clarity.
