This Week's Quotation:
"The world is grappling with upheaval—climate chaos, social fragmentation, and a deep hunger for purpose and connection. But amidst the turbulence, something beautiful is emerging: a rising tide of consciousness. And this movement is growing stronger every day."
~ Steve Farrell (Humanity’s Team)
A Rising Tide

Jerry Kvasnicka, Rising With the Tide
Steve alludes to climate change and social division, but this is actually putting it quite mildly. There is such a proliferation of conflict, corruption, confusion, chaos and just plain craziness on our precious planet right now. Not to mention the continuing assault on nature. Humanity evidently thinks it can get away with burning fossil fuels at will and avoid the consequences of climate change—a 6th mass extinction.
But as Steve indicates, something else is emerging. As I think the No Kings events in the United States this year seem to suggest, millions of people are increasingly saying in effect, “We have had enough!” Also many are concluding that the answer is not to be found in conventional religion. And the idea that some kind of messiah or savior is going drop down out of the sky to bail out humanity is losing credibility.
Steve refers to “a rising tide of consciousness.” What does this mean? A tide involves water, the symbol of truth. Our planet is the creation of Love, the ultimate power of the universe. But human beings have the faculty of choice. They can choose to dilute, distort and divert Love into designs and purposes that are contrary to its true nature.
The rising tide consists of people who have awakened to the Truth of Love, and are consciously bringing the pure, pristine nature of Love into their living and the world they focus. They are simply shining the Light, not forming some system of concepts about it. Shall we be a part of this irresistible and unrelenting rising tide that will surely regenerate and transform our world? How could our answer be other than a resounding YES?
About Open Windows
We, the authors of this blog, dedicate it to the transparent exploration of the world's sacred scripture and enlightened spiritual thought. We believe that the original inspiration of all faiths comes from a common source, named and revered in a myriad of ways. With that understanding, the innumerable symbols, beliefs, and practices of faith cease to divide. They become open windows to a common reality that inspires and unifies us. We find deeper insight and nourishment in our own faith and from the expression of faith from others.
We hope these weekly quotations and meditations speak to your heart and soul.
