Synopsis: The spirit of our Lord overleaps all the humanly established boundaries which are producing and maintaining the conflict and suffering known on earth. It is not God’s will that humanity should suffer. Rather, man has failed to let the qualities of God’s nature be manifest on earth, the nobility and fineness of character which brings peace, assurance, joy and fulfilment in life. This is the perfection required — “Be ye therefore perfect” — not man’s striving to be something or to achieve his own purposes, in conflict with God’s will. We were made in His own image and likeness that His will might be done on earth as it is in heaven.
