This Week’s Quotation:
We don't realize that, somewhere within us all, there does exist a supreme self who is eternally at peace.
~ Elizabeth Gilbert
Your Inner Sanctuary
Often, our Inner Worry Room is not far away from us, and it keeps the door open for us on a regular basis. We don’t really have to look for it, as it is always readily available to us the instant we notice we are sad, lonely, angry, or frustrated. It is familiar, and oddly, it is comfortable.
What we need to remember is that we can change our focus to our Inner Sanctuary, that place where we are in a relationship with our Higher Self, which is in reality, also a door that never closes, we simply need to remember it is there.
Your Inner Sanctuary is a safe place to be. It is your comfort zone and your personal blessing. It is there that you can create the life that has been calling to you.
Going to your Inner Sanctuary is a Spiritual Practice. It is in coherence with all of your Spiritual Practices—and it is a gift that keeps on giving, always and forever.
This is where your Stillness lies. Be in Peace.
About Open Windows
We, the authors of this blog, dedicate it to the transparent exploration of the world’s sacred scripture and enlightened spiritual thought. We believe that the original inspiration of all faiths comes from a common source, named and revered in a myriad of ways. With that understanding, the innumerable symbols, beliefs, and practices of faith cease to divide. They become open windows to a common reality that inspires and unifies us. We find deeper insight and nourishment in our own faith and from the expression of faith from others.
We hope these weekly quotations and meditations speak to your heart and soul.
With you, Dr. Katie-Grace. Those who have been in government know there is a WAR ROOM. and those who watch CNN, are aware of the SITUATION ROOM. And you’re absolutely right about the “worry room” inside us all. Like you, I choose another space entirely, the inner sanctuary. I choose the Holy place, the place of the most high, and the Holy of Holies. Let us dwell there forever. Love, Tom C.
When the “lower self” presents us with the impulses you mention, Katie: “sad, lonely, angry, or frustrated,” it is so good to know that connecting with our Inner Sanctuary can quickly override them and enable us to restore and maintain our expression of Radiant Love.
