December 26 - 30 | 2018
The Insight Meditation Community of Colorado presents: Living Fully, Loving Well, a New Year’s retreat with David Chernikoff.
The primary focus of this retreat will be the practice of sitting and walking meditation while keeping silence. There will be meditation instruction, dharma talks, mindful movement practices, and opportunities for discussion. Using guided experiential exercises, we’ll review the year that is ending and reflect upon what we’ve learned. At the end of the retreat, we’ll set our intentions for the year to come and prepare to set them in motion on January 1st.
Sunrise Ranch, 100 Sunrise Ranch Road, Loveland, CO 80538
Please arrive and check in between 4 and 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26. The retreat will end at 12 noon on Sunday, December 30. Lunch will be served at noon.
Both beginning and experienced meditators are welcome.
Accommodations range from camping to shared rooms (dorm, triples, doubles) to private rooms, at fees ranging from $284 to $532. The earlier you register, the greater the likelihood of securing the accommodations of your choice. A limited number of partial scholarships are available for this retreat. Please feel free to ask David Chernikoff about how to apply.
An $18 fee per person has been added to cover Insight Meditation Community’s administrative costs.
A meditation cushion and pad, if you use one (chairs will be provided); a water bottle, appropriate layers of clothing, an alarm clock, a notebook and pen, and a blanket or shawl if you use one in the meditation hall. Please put your cellphone, iPad, and/or laptop away when we begin the retreat and do not plan on using them until we break the silence at the end.
Registration for this event will open soon. Meanwhile, if you have questions about the retreat program or the availability of partial scholarships, please contact David Chernikoff at firstname.lastname@example.org or (303) 499-7592.
