Probably very few reading this would consider something they are doing today to be a “great thing” by the usual human definition. Mother Teresa, a Catholic nun, tirelessly helping the poor and sick in Calcutta, India, did very few “great things.” But she gained notoriety and Sainthood by doing many small things with great love.
Knowingly or unknowingly, throughout our lifetime, we all tend to create barriers to love. Maybe as a result of heartbreak, or self-judgment, or any multitude of possibilities that cause us to forget that our Creator loves us unconditionally. Because Love is who our Creator is. And since we are not separate, Love is who we are too.
In awareness of the escalation of war mentality and the fear it generates in our world, I remind myself that the same peace that Jesus embodied also fills my mind, body, and emotions. In the silence of prayer, I attune with our Creator and receive inner strength, faith and peace. When we go within to pray, Spirit merges with our spirit, and there is the peace of attunement.
First, there must be order and harmony within your own mind. Then this order will spread to your family, then to the community, and finally to your entire kingdom. Only then can you have peace and harmony.
