Unity Feminine Energy Retreat

We all have them…those sometimes quiet, other times loud, messages and nudgings that guide us in one direction or another. Maybe it’s those voices in our mind, our sixth sense, our dreams or the unexpected thoughts or images that come to us in times of prayers or meditation.
Sometimes it’s our inner critic, calling us out on our struggles and our perceived shortcomings. Sometimes it’s a whispering voice encouraging us to be bold, daring, and do the next right thing. Sometimes it’s just a gut feeling, a sense of déjà vu, or simply a knowing.
When we tune in to these messages, particularly those that deeply stir our very souls or those that come up again and again, we can tap into our own magic, our very connectedness to all that is.
This retreat is centered on ways to help us heed the call, to follow our heart’s path, to open up and connect with the source of these voices, these messages that serve us in being our truest, most authentic, best versions of ourselves.
We will explore ways to quiet the chatter that gets in the way of hearing the messages.
The event begins by looking at a variety of feminine archetypes, drawing on women throughout the ages that will guide us throughout the weekend.
We “open to our divine purpose” with creative experiences, group and individual work, journaling and movement, along with times of stillness in the beauty of nature.
Through this restorative weekend we envision finding ourselves in all of what we discover throughout our time together.
We look forward to discerning how we may move back into the world to powerfully embody and actively live in service to humanity, in individual and collective ways.
What will take place at the Unity Feminine Energy Retreat?
Heidi Whitehead hails from Denver. An entrepreneur, an educator and mother, she is moved by creating, connecting and the wisdom and sisterhood of circling with women.
Holding Space for women’s gatherings, retreats and circles is a true labor of love in her life since she was first called to this work a decade ago. It has become increasingly clear to her that this is the work of our times.
The theme of this retreat, Opening to Divine Purpose, has emerged in perfect timing as we are all called to deeply consider what is ours to do in the challenging times. Heidi has a deep commitment to holding space for the sacred work of transformation. She is a certified yoga instructor and has worked with several teen groups at Unity Denver for several years.
In addition to retreat planning and facilitation, she serves as a mentor to women in becoming facilitators of women’s circles. She also works with young children and families as an educator and community builder. Lisa Yelenick began her spiritual journey when she was introduced to the teachings of Unity, 43 years ago. She began serving as the Youth and Family Ministry Director in 1995 and continues in that role today. Lisa co-led the spiritual women’s group, “Circle of Friends,” at Unity Denver for many years.
Serving as Regional Teen Ministry Consultant for eleven years, Lisa mentored many teen leadership groups in the creation of weekend and week-long spiritual retreats. Lisa creates a safe and engaging environment grounded in unconditional love with great skill and dedication.
Living the Unity teachings has expanded her understanding of what it means to be a holy expression of the Divine and even more deeply – that the light, energy and pure potential that is God (by whatever name you may call it), is actively at work in and through her and in all people in every moment.
She believes that our “job” is to gain greater awareness of this, expand our consciousness around our true nature and live it into the world.
