The Eternal Moment

Yes, all we have is the present moment. Though I frequently find myself thinking about past events and even longing at some level of my being to go back to the past and relive it, this can simply dilute the creative energy I can bring into the present. Likewise, trying to project myself into the future and live from there is simply an act of idle imagination and also drains energy from the present moment.
Love is the power that runs the universe. So if we want to fully utilize the present moment, charging it with our creative energy and, in effect, turning it into the Eternal Moment, we simply have to connect with the Love that resides at the core of our Being and let it flow into whatever we’re doing.
If we find ourselves losing this connection there are a multitude of ways (affirmations, guided meditations, walks in nature, etc.) that can help to bring it back. One of my favorites is attuning to the beautiful heavenly music that seems to course through my soul day and night. I find myself singing to it and dancing to it. I just melt into it and it connects me with the sublime Eternal Now.
Another way I used many decades ago to connect with the Eternal Now was via psychedelic drugs. Psychedelics tend to force the mind into the present moment and are now used as a treatment for a variety of psychological disorders. But they can have disturbing side-effects and require careful supervision.
Sustaining the flow of Love is the key. Movement even at just the physical level is important. I recently watched a video of a man celebrating his 100th birthday. Asked his longevity secret he replied with just two words: “Keep moving.” When Love moves physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually the present moment is transformed into the Eternal Moment. Let us experience Eternity together.
