A New Path

Who can doubt that the current path of humanity is perilous? That probably understates it. Wars, particularly in the Middle East and Ukraine, a massive humanitarian crisis in Sudan, and the ravages of climate change (deforestation, species extinction, hurricanes, floods, droughts, fires). Nature is out of control, simply reflecting the dysfunction in human consciousness.
The crisis for humanity is existential, so it is absolutely imperative that we chart a new path. Politicians, diplomats, scientists, humanitarians and many other well-meaning people are doing their best to grapple with and solve the churning sea of human problems, but it is not enough. In fact, as one commentator observed, “Today’s problems are yesterday’s solutions.”
So what can we individually and collectively do to forge the life-affirming path that Steve Farrell refers to? For it is up to us. We have the power, the Ordering Power of Love, at our disposal. We can let this awesome power penetrate our consciousness and thereby penetrate the mass consciousness of the body of humanity.
We each have our own way of walking this life-transforming path. Every morning I walk the path from my apartment to the administration building where I work. There are many trees and bushes on the way, and so I have opportunity to touch and bless them with Love. A very simple exercise, but powerful in its own way of bringing humanity back into alignment with the Ordering Power of Love.
