Spiritual Community

There are many people included in the spiritual community at Sunrise Ranch, and there are many ways to share the life of this place. Whether you visit for day or have lived here for thirty years, work in our kitchen or are attending a conference, we welcome you as a participant in the spiritual mission and the friendship that is Sunrise Ranch.

Many people who visit this special valley for the first time have the feeling that they are coming home. For those who share our love for the transcendent qualities of God on earth, this is home – a place of friendship and love, and a place that draws out the best in us.

While this is a place of rest for the soul, Sunrise Ranch is also a place of good, hard work. We are a working ranch, raising organic food and cattle. We work hard to encompass the people who come to be with us, and to carry forward our mission. This is a spiritual community that values the renewing power of work in many forms.

This spiritual community is a living crucible for spiritual transformation. It is an opportunity to face the unclarities that come up between people, and more importantly, the unclarities in one’s own heart and mind. It is an opportunity to see how the unclarities in one’s own consciousness are reflected in the people and circumstances around oneself, and to take responsibility for bringing clarity. We notice that people who participate with us in this process are profoundly changed and renewed.

Most importantly, this is Spiritual Community where there is an opportunity to know oneself more fully, and to experience more intimately the vast spirit of the Creator which enfolds us all.
